We've moved!

We have relocated to Dallas! I thought the move would be delayed by a snowstorm in Utah, but it was a beautiful perfect day when we departed. We went to Moab the first day through Helper. I had made plans to meet one of the women from my Mastermind Group from the Minding My Own Business cohort. Annie Dalton of Moab Varnish makes pottery. Our meeting spot, Moab Made, is a super cute gift shop and gallery in the strip. The first piece I picked up that I knew I wanted happened to be one of hers. The second piece I picked up that I knew I wanted also happened to be hers. I picked up some stickers, too. Then we met and she gifted me for my journey one of her pieces she said I inspired, a sponge holder. I’m so excited to have met her and to have some of her work.

We started the next morning with a quick trip through Arches and then all the way to Tucumcari, NM, with a stop in ABQ for an early dinner. Lucked out finding this ayurvedic cafe.

We left Tucumcari in time to catch breakfast in Amarillo. Another lucky find. Girasol Cafe & Bakery. If you find yourself driving through Amarillo, it’s worth the stop! Due to the ice storm that paralyzed Dallas, we stopped in Wichita Falls. That way, we were only a couple of hours away and safe from dangerous driving conditions. Worked out well. I caught I cold the morning we left, so it gave me time to rest.

We arrived in Dallas the following day, really less than 12 hours later than planned. The truck got unloaded and returned the following morning and I’ve gotten everything unpacked and feel mostly settled.

Things I’ve been doing to get grounded:

Going for walks in the neighborhood. Also a good way to get familiar with the neighborhood.

Sorting and organizing my things.

A trip to the DMA and the Nasher to see the Mark DiSuvero exhibit.

I’m impressed with how quickly I was able to get it all done. Honestly. Moving is so disruptive, but it really went smoothly. Now it’s time to get back to work. I’ve booked a couple of yoga clients for this weekend. New website and logo coming soon! Stay tuned. Some networking events are coming next week.
